The Lower Columbia Solutions Group Science-Policy workshop was held at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, Cape Disappointment State Park near Ilwaco, WA. The workshop reviewed ongoing studies on coastal processes near and around the north side of the Mouth of the Columbia River. The objective was to develop a consensus around the “status of the science” and an informed basis from which coastal management and policy decisions could be made.

Dr Oltman-Shay presented, “Argus Surveying of Benson Beach: Nearshore changes storm to storm, season to season, and year to year — implications for sediment transport.”
